We are excited you are here! This series of getting started articles will help you get up and running with Auth Armor as a developer utilizing Auth Armor's APIs, tools and services.
Download the app
The first things first - download the Auth Armor Authenticator app. You can only create an account and authenticate using the app. The links are below for iOS and Android:
Register for an account using the app
After you have downloaded the app, follow the instructions to setup your device and register an Auth Armor account.
Sign into the Developer Dashboard
Once you have an account setup on the app, head over to https://dashboard.autharmor.com - You don't need to visit the website from your phone. You can login from any device and your phone will get a push notification to approve the login. The dashboard best works on a non-mobile devices. When at the Dashboard, login with your username. Your device will get a push notification and you can login directly. Auth Armor websites use the same technology we offer for our own logins.
Create your Developer Account
After you've logged into the Dashboard for the first time, you'll be presented with an option to select the product type you want to use. You can select Consumer Protection or Workforce Protection. You can sign up for both products, but to start, you must select one. After you've signed up with one, you can add the other to your developer account without issue. After you've selected the edition of Auth Anywhere you want to sign up for, you'll be presented with a few required inputs, such as your Organization name. Please fill out the form and continue.
Create Project
After you've created an organization and selected the Auth Anywhere edition, you will be redirected to the project page and here is where you will create your first project! Click the [+] Add New Project tile, and you'll be asked for some project details.
Project Properties:
- Name - This is what will show up in the app for your users to see. Pick a clear and easy to understand name here.
- Description - This is a friendly description for you. This description is not seen in the app, only in the developer dashboard.
- Logo - You can upload a logo or graphic with your project. This logo will show in the app
- Default Timeout - This is the default timeout setting for auth requests to this project.
After you create your project, you will see the project home page
